My Dear Friends' Inspiring Vignettes

Oh that Rebekah! She's done it again and given me inspiration galore! These are little vignettes throughout her home in Portland. I just adore how she displays everything. To get her look you can visit her blog and her Etsy shop!

Spokane in The Catacombs

The night before the big Farm Chicks event, Rebekah and I could hardly wait to meet up with our friends and fellow bloggers. Unfortunately, I didn't get pictures of the 14 or so girls we first met up with in the lovely Peacock bar of our hotel (I know, what was I thinking?) Actually I was so overwhelmed by all the beautiful and interesting women I couldn't be bothered to take pictures I guess. Luckily I did later on when we went over to the beautiful Barn House Boys and Queen and King of Tarte's hotel down the street!

This is my dear friend Cindy from Queen of Tarte. I know her from my Mom and my Annual Art and Antique sales we used to have in Salem, Oregon. She is the inspiration for my blog and has also been a big supporter of my art. I adore her!

Here's Cindy with Joe, one half of the Barn Boys. He is so well-spoken and delightful. Look out when these two get together! They just look like there up to something...

Here's Rebekah and I still feeling the effects of some random roadside diner poison (it's a long story).

Rebekah and I posing with Jermonne and Joe our hero's and obviously hot, hot, hot! I finally got the chance to meet them and I was so impressed with their amazing talent and personable natures - they are a class act indeed. I may have to make a trip to Washington sooner then later just to stay on the farm and play with all their sweet animals!

A lovely scene when walking back to our hotel after a very good start to our Spokane experience!

We Arrive At Rebekah's!

There's my cute sweet friend, Rebekah, in front of their lovely home in Portland, Oregon.

Lounging on the back porch with Oliver, Rebekah and my Mom. Enjoying some refreshing white wine sangria and the adorable pets Sage (dog) and Lily (kitty).

Inside Rebekah's (another post to come on the many adorable vignettes I found throughout her home). She just couldn't resist doing a little vacuuming - gotta love her energy, she's my source of inspiration and a great example of time-management - the woman is amazing, seriously!

Shopping in Monticello's.

Looks like my Mom snagged herself some good deals!

Working ourselves around town hunting for bargains and treasure's - what could be more fun than junking with my two best friends? It doesn't get much better than this!

Inspirations From Oregon

Here we are in my Mom's cute remodeled bathroom.
They're not finished with their house just yet, but I love what they've done so far!

A happy green bench outside a local Ashland, OR. store called Paris Green.

A table outside my Mom's home.

Cute childs metal bed rail has a new function as a magazine rack in the bathroom.

Inside my Mom's closet - various boxes for storage.

A bulletin board with photos and memorabilia in my Mom's sunny "Yellow Room".

A comfy chair with a pillow painted by yours truly!

Quite the happy houseplant watched over by one of my lady paintings in the "Yellow Room".

Some Inspirations From My Travels

All of these images come from a store called Home Economics located in Grants Pass, Oregon where my Mom and I stopped on our drive to visit my Grandparents. The man who owns the store is so creative and has such a trained eye for everything rustic. I love the old typewriters, paint brushes, bottles and maps. The destination signs for Europe are his new venture and he was at the Alameda flea market selling these when we visited - they are really wonderful pieces of art. I was hoping to meet him as he is a true inspiration. My Mom told me he does book art which I am preparing to do myself and since he doesn't sell his art I wasn't able to see any at this time darn it. I'd give a website, but even that he doesn't seem to have. All his creativity was just overwhelming and I'm pretty sure my pictures don't do his space justice, but hopefully you get the general idea!
